The Area Agency on Aging IIIA (AAAIIIA) provides leadership and advocacy on aging issues in Kalamazoo County. It is one of 16 regional agencies designated by the Michigan Aging and Adult Services Agency to identify the greatest needs of older persons and coordinate services tome those needs. Our goal is to provide quality services that enable older persons to live independently with dignity, in their own homes or chosen place of residence. Services are primarily for individuals age 60 and older, as well as their caregivers, professionals and all who are seeking information and assistance managing issues that may arise as we age. The AAAIIIA also facilitates the Elder Abuse Prevention Coalition, Hoarding Task Force and provides leadership to many community groups focused on aging issues.
