The mission of Kalamazoo Garden Council is to advance the fine arts of gardening, landscape design, floral design, and the study of horticulture through education and activity. As a community-based organization, KGC seeks to protect and conserve natural resources, enhance civic beauty, and encourage the improvement of roadsides and parks. We work to coordinate the interests of the ten garden clubs in the Kalamazoo area and to increase mutual helpfulness by association, conference, and correspondence. The Council and our many partner garden club members provide community services through plantings, maintenance, and management of a multitude of various gardens, planters, pots, trees, bird feeders, parks, trails, and veteran memorials to benefit the public. The KGC donates to many area organizations who also enhance the local environment. Community support makes these civic projects and activities possible. All ten clubs welcome visitors and new members.
